RESERVOIR WRITERS ALI TAMPOSI, JAMES FAUNTLEROY, AND THE ORPHANAGE EARN SPOTIFY GENIUS AWARDS NOMINATIONS

Spotify announced the nominations for the 2018 Secret Genius Awards, today, and Reservoir writers Ali Tamposi, James Fauntleroy, and The Orphanage are each nominated. The Spotify Secret Genius Awards, which honor the creatives behind today’s biggest hits, will be held at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles on November 16th.
Ali Tamposi is nominated for Songwriter of the Year for her contributions to hits including “Havana (feat. Young Thug)” by Camila Cabello, “Let Me Go (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” by Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso, and “Lonely Together (feat. Rita Ora)” by Avicii. Tamposi, who is a Secret Genius Ambassador along with Reservoir rostermate Ina Wroldsen, won the Dance category award last year for her work on “It Ain’t Me” by Selena Gomez and Kygo and “Let Me Love You (feat. Justin Bieber)” by DJ Snake.
Additionally, James Fauntleroy is nominated in the R&B category for his contributions to chart-topping tracks including Justin Timberlake’s “Filthy,” (also co-written and co-produced by Reservoir’s Danja) and Bruno Mars’ tracks “That’s What I Like,” and “Finesse (feat. Cardi B).”
Finally, production duo The Orphanage, made up of Trevor Brown and Zaire Koalo, is nominated for Breakthrough of the Year for their work on Demi Lovato’s multi-platinum single “Sorry Not Sorry.”
