RESERVOIR ADDS ELECTRONIC DUO DVBBS TO ITS ROSTER
Date:
Reservoir announces the signing of electronic duo DVBBS to a worldwide publishing deal. The deal includes global rights to compositions in DVBBS’ catalog, plus future works, including the new album, Blood Of My Blood, which released last Friday and has already racked up over 17 million streams on Spotify.
“We are thrilled to start this new partnership with Reservoir,” said DVBBS. “From the very first meeting we had together, everyone was on the same page, sharing the same vision for our catalog and the future of DVBBS. We’re looking forward to working together and expanding opportunities as songwriters, producers, and artists across the globe.”
Brothers Christopher and Alexandre van den Hoef formed DVBBS in 2012 and have quickly risen through the ranks of the dance-music scene over the last five years, landing as high as #16 on DJ Magazine’s list of 100 Top DJs. Most recently, the pair collaborated with famed DJ Steve Aoki and fellow Reservoir roster-mate 2 Chainz on “Without U,” the lead single off of Aoki’s album, Kolony, which debuted Top 5 on Billboard’s Dance Chart upon released earlier this Summer.
In addition to Aoki and 2 Chainz, the Ontario-born duo have released several hit collaborations including “Gold Skies” with Sander van Doorn and Martin Garrix, and the Juno-nominated “Tsunami” with Borgeous, which earned global attention, including #1s in the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland and on Beatport’s 100 chart, plus airplay support on BBC’s Radio 1. DVBBS’ single “Not Going Home” with CMC$, off their EP, Beautiful Disaster, was a Top 20 hit on Billboard’s US Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and the pair’s first Top 10 single at Top 40 Radio in Canada.
DVBBS continue to make a name for themselves in the global music circuit as both performers and DJs, with appearances at Ultra, Tommorrowland, TomorrowWorld, and EDC Las Vegas music festivals, sharing the stage with dance-music A-listers including Tiësto, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, NERVO, Showtek, Sander Van Doorn, and DJ Snake, in addition to holding a residency at Las Vegas hotspot Hakkasan.
“I’m thrilled to welcome DVBBS to the Reservoir family,” says Reservoir SVP of Creative and A&R Spek, who will look after the group in New York, with additional support from Reservoir’s Creative teams in Los Angeles and London. “Chris and Alex are incredibly versatile songwriters and producers who have carved out their own lane that transcends EDM. We look forward to bigger things ahead in their future and can’t wait to get to work.”
