RAG’N’BONE MAN WINS 2017 BRITS CRITICS’ CHOICE AWARD

Following last week’s announcement of their shortlist of nominees, the BRITs have crowned Rag’N’Bone Man the winner for 2017 Critics’ Choice. Buzz for Rag’N’Bone Man’s massive single, “Human,” co-written by Reservoir writer Jamie Hartman, is swelling worldwide. The single topped iTunes charts in twenty-three countries, has been #1 in Germany for ten consecutive weeks, and topped the UK’s Trending chart for two weeks and counting. This is the second time Hartman has collaborated with a Critics’ Choice winner prior to their win, as he co-wrote 2015 champ James Bay’s “Moving Together,” the song that got Bay signed to Universal’s Republic Records.

Rag’N’Bone Man was nominated alongside pop singers Anne-Marie and Dua Lipa, both of whom also have current singles co-written by Reservoir writers. Anne-Marie’s solo single “Alarm” and “Rockabye” peformed alongside Clean Bandit and Sean Paul were both co-written by Ina Wroldsen, while Dua Lipa’s current single “Blow Your Mind (Muah)“, is co-written by Lauren Christy.
