British R&B trio M.O released a new Summer-ready single, “Dance On My Own”.  With its retro groove and anthemic hook, the track and its video has caught love from outlets like Complex.

The song’s decidedly #throwback groove isn’t just an affectation–“Dance On My Own” actually samples Reverb Music catalog track “Flowers”, a single by British duo Sweet Female Attitude, and the ’90s authenticity of which one need only view the video to verify.  In an amusing twist, “Flowers” itself also contains a sample, borrowing from ELO’s “Evil Woman”.
