2 CHAINZ DROPS NEW MIXTAPE ‘DANIEL SON; NECKLACE DON’

2 Chainz released his new mixtape Daniel Son; Necklace Don, late Thursday night ahead of its scheduled release Friday, when the rapper tweeted a Soundcloud link to the ten-track project. The album is now available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music, with two hundred limited edition, hand-written and signed CDs also available to purchase from Chainz’ website.
An ode to the 1984 movie The Karate Kid, Daniel Son; Necklace Don features guest appearances by Drake and TNF Lucci on the tracks “Big Amount” and “You In Luv Wit Her” respectively. Production was handled by TM88, Mr 2-17, DJ Spinz, K Swisher, Buddah Blessing, Bobby Kritical, and Dun Deal & C4. Of the release, HotNewHipHop stated, “Already knowing 2 Chainz’ track record, it’s safe to say this project is about to be lit.”
The mixtape is Chainz’ first full-length release since March’s ColleGrove a collaborative project with Lil Wayne, though the rapper has been very active in the interim, making guest appearances on Chance The Rapper’s Coloring Book (“No Problem”), DJ Khaled’s Major Key (“Work For It“), Kanye West’s “Champions”, and Statik Selektah’s “Smoke Break”.
