UPDATED: TONIGHT: RESERVOIR’S FAITH NEWMAN ON EAST VILLAGE RADIO

Reservoir’s own SVP of Creative and Business Development, Faith Newman, will be a guest on tonight’s Frozen Files Presents radio show on East Village Radio.  Jockeys Schott Free and Matt Life host the weekly series, which reminisces hip-hop’s bygone classic era, the ’90s.

Newman, best known for signing hip-hop and R&B trailblazers Nas and Jamiroquai to label deals, and later, 2 Chainz to his first publishing deal, is the perfect candidate to comment on hip-hop’s golden era.  Newman continues to pursue and sign noteworthy R&B talent and classic catalogs like Slakah The Beatchild and Philly Groove Records, and was recently named one of Complex magazine’s 25 Best A&R’s in Hip-Hop History

Catch Faith on the East Village Radio show tonight from 8 to 10 P.M.!

UPDATE 2/21/13: East Village Radio has posted the audio from last night’s show to their station archives.  Listen to Schott and Matt dub Faith the “First Lady of A&R” and look back on her music industry experience from her Philadelphia roots, NYU schooling, first job at iconic record label Def Jam, and historic hip-hop and R&B A&R discoveries.
