Cruel Summer, the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album featuring three tracks with Reservoir songwriter 2 Chainz, was released on September 18th and, as of the morning of the 24th, is the #1 album in the U.S. iTunes store.

The album features all of the major players from Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music rap label, including Big Sean, Pusha T, Prynce Cy Hi, and Teyana Taylor, as well as special guests like R. Kelly, Jay-Z, and The-Dream.  Cruel Summer is projected to sell between 180,000 an 200,000 units in its first week.

**Update 9/26/12 12:32PM: Billboard and Hits Daily Double report that Cruel Summer has officially debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week.  This follows the #1 debut of 2 Chainz’ solo album, Based On A T.R.U. Story, last month.
