One of the most talked about movies of the summer, Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring tells the true story of a group of celebrity obsessed teenagers who robbed homes of the rich and famous in Los Angeles. Today, the official soundtrack for the film is available on iTunes and features “Money Machine” by Reservoir writer and rapper 2 Chainz as well as the Danja-penned M.I.A. track “Bad Girls.” Working as the music supervisor for the film, Brian Reitzell recently spoke with Rolling Stone about the soundtrack, explaining that he used “the music that the kids would be listening to.” The soundtrack also features tunes from Kanye West and Rick Ross.
