STATIK SELEKTAH PRODUCES JOYNER LUCAS’ NEW SINGLE ‘WAY TO GO’

R&B artist and rapper Joyner Lucas released “Way to Go,” produced by Reservoir songwriter and producer Statik Selektah on Friday. The hit is one of 16 new tracks off of Lucas’ new, debut full length LP, 508-507-2209, and features vocals from Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra. The cut incorporates Aalegra’s harmonies and Lucas’ rhymes against a slower, electric beat. The Worcester, Massachusetts native told HipHopDX that “there’s lot of storytelling records on [the record]” and that he’s excited for the fans’ reaction to the album.
A well-renowned producer, Selektah has collaborated extensively with Reservoir rap artists, including 2 Chainz on “Smoke Break” and Joey Bada$$ on his most recent album, All-Amerikkkan Bada$$.
