British singer-songwriter Shura dropped her new single “BKLYNDN” today. The romantic track features an overall sultry vibe and groovy melody that effortlessly complements its delicate vocals.

Billboard calls the single a “new smooth, synth-pop love song” in which “Shura sings about long-distance love, exploring the romantic longing through the modern-day lens of “apps, texts and anxiety-inducing silences.” In a press release, Shura explains that the song is “about desire — playing with the idea of it being all consuming and at times overwhelming.”

She also released a music video for the track, which is described as a “recreation of Rodin’s classic artwork ‘The Kiss’ with female subjects challenges the viewer to see the true essence of romantic love between two people, no matter their gender.“
