Scott Stapp returned with his latest album The Space Between The Shadows, today. The 12-track album is the rocker’s first release in six years since his solo sophomore album, Proof of Life. Stapp describes The Space Between The Shadows theme in an interview with Billboard, noting “It’s about me learning how to overcome and get to the other side of the most difficult situations and challenges in my life and find a purpose within it.”

The album includes singles “Purpose For Pain,” “Name,” “Face Of The Sun” and “Gone Too Soon,” which tell gut-wrenching stories of overcoming depression and addiction, losing friends, and parental abandonment. Stapp premiered the full album on July 18 via Billboard Live. The rocker is also currently embarked on his The Space Between The Shadows National Tour.
