RESERVOIR’S DAVID FANNING & TRAVIS HEIDELMAN NAMED TO MUSICROW’S TOP 100 SONGWRITERS OF 2024
Date:
MusicRow Magazine announced their Top 100 Songwriters of 2024, with Reservoir songwriters David Fanning and Travis Heidelman both featured on the list.
Fanning co-write “Tennessee Orange” by Megan Moroney garnered nominations across several country music awards this year, including two CMT Music Award nominations (winning Breakthrough Female Video of the Year) and an ACM Award nomination for Song of the Year, among others. Fanning also contributed to an iHeart Radio Award nomination. In 2023, he secured himself a nomination for Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year at the 2023 MusicRow Awards, and he also took home the Nashville Songwriter Award for Song I Wish I’d Written for “Tennessee Orange.” Notably this year, Fanning earned his fourth #1 since signing to Reservoir for Parmalee’s “Gonna Love You” and also collaborated on country’s rising star Avery Anna’s debut album Breakup Over Breakfast.
Recent signee Heidelman also had impressive success this year. In particular, he co-wrote/produced “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)” by Dasha. Tied to a line-dancing trend started by Dasha on TikTok, the song has generated over a million video creations on the platform with over 10 billion views. The country-pop hit reached #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as #3 on Hot Country Songs, while continuing to climb the MediaBase Top 40, MediaBase Country Airplay and Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay. It also continues to rise overseas, notably reaching #5 on the Official UK Singles Chart and #2 on the German Airplay Chart, with a three-week reign at #1 at Dutch Nationale Airplay Top 50. In addition, the song earned a nomination for Top Country Song for the 2025 Billboard Music Awards and took home a People’s Choice Country Award for The Female Song of 2024. Heidelman also co-wrote and produced two other songs off Dasha’s 2024 album, What Happens Now?, called “Even Cowboys Cry” and “Share This City.”
