RESERVOIR WRITERS EARN SEVEN ASCAP R&B AWARDS

ASCAP held its annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards last night, and Reservoir writers contributed to seven awards. Migos were honored with the ASCAP Vanguard Award for their successful year in music. Their albums – last year’s Culture and this year’s Culture II – are both certified platinum and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Migos’ songs “Bad and Boujee (feat. Lil Uzi Vert),” “T-Shirt,” and “Slippery (feat. Gucci Mane)” also received ASCAP Rhythm & Soul awards for dominating the charts over the last year.
The Rhythm & Soul Music Awards honors ASCAP songwriter and publisher members for the most performed ASCAP songs of the past year on the R&B, hip-hop, rap and gospel charts.
Reservoir writer 2 Chainz took home three awards for his hip-hop cuts “Good Drank (feat. Gucci Mane & Quavo),”“It’s a Vibe (feat. Ty Dolla Sign, Trey Songz, & Jhené Aiko),” and Chance the Rapper’s “No Problem” featuring the Atlanta rapper and Lil Wayne.
Additionally, DJ Khaled’s “Shining (feat. Beyoncé & JAY-Z)” co-produced by Danja and “OOOUUU” by Young M.A were honored at the evening’s festivities.
