RESERVOIR SIGNS WRITER-PRODUCER STEVEN FRANKS

Reservoir is pleased to welcome accomplished writer-producer Steven Franks to its roster. Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and based in Los Angeles, Franks is best known for writing credits on popular hits like Big Sean and John Legend’s “Memories (Part II)” from Sean’s 2011 album Finally Famous; Jennifer Lopez and T.I.’s “A.K.A.”, the title track from Lopez’ eighth studio album, A.K.A.; and the Chris Brown and Jhené Aiko duet “Drunk Texting” from Brown’s 2014 Platinum selling album X.
More recently, Franks collaborated with pop starlet Ariana Grande, contributing to four cuts (“Let Me Love You” feat. Lil Wayne, “Leave Me Lonely” feat. Macy Gray, “I Don’t Care”, and “Knew Better/Forever Boy”) on her third studio album Dangerous Woman, which shot to #1 on iTunes in sixty-seven countries upon release in May of this year. ”Let Me Love You” feat. Lil Wayne was chosen as the album’s second promotional single and the video picked up a nod for Best Collaboration Video at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. Franks also contributed to all six of Grande’s cuts from her 2015 holiday EP, Christmas & Chill.
In addition, Franks’ is currently climbing the charts with his Meghan Trainor collaboration, “Better” feat. Yo Gotti, from Trainor’s sophomore debut Thank You, which quickly rose to #1 on iTunes’ overall U.S. sales charts upon debut in May. The break-up anthem landed on Billboard’s Mainstream and Adult Top 40 charts following the release of the music video starring Beau Bridges. Franks also co-write album track “Friends”.
