RESERVOIR/REVERB MUSIC’S ANNETTE BARRETT RE-ELECTED TO THE INTERNATIONAL MUSIC PUBLISHERS FORUM
Date:
Reservoir/Reverb Music’s Managing Director Annette Barrett has been re-elected to The International Music Publishers Forum (IMPF) Board, as announced at the Forum’s annual General Assembly earlier this month. The IMPF is a grouping of more than 50 indie music publishers from all over the world that serves as a network and meeting place to represent the interests of the independent music publishing community. As Barrett notes, “There has been an inherent need for an independent, international forum for music publishers to come together to air, discuss and understand problems globally”.
Barrett will serve a two-year term alongside 13 other executives, including Pierre Mossiat of Strictly Confidential Music Publishing, Rolf and Benjamin Budde of Rolf Budde Musikverlag, Jake Wisely of Bicycle Music Company, and Simon Platz of Bucks Music Group.
This next year will see the IMPF focus on promoting fair shares and the proper remuneration of rights holders for digital revenues, in addition to working together with the International Confederation of Music Publishers on pertinent issues including copyright reform in Europe and the digital single market.
