Reservoir President and COO Rell Lafargue has been appointed to the Mechanical Licensing Collective’s Operations Advisory Committee. The next step to 2018’s Music Modernization Act, the MLC will be tasked with licensing and administering mechanical rights in the United States. Reservoir endorses the National Music Publisher Association’s bid to run this mechanical licensing society, and encourages songwriters to provide their endorsement at www.supportthemlc.com.

This appointment follows Rell’s December election to the Association of Independent Music Publishers board, which advocates for independent songwriters and publishers.
