Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye” featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie has nabbed the coveted title of Official Christmas #1 in the UK, extending their streak to seven consecutive weeks at #1. The cut was co-written by Reservoir/Reverb Music writer Ina Wroldsen, who recently collaborated with Brits’ Critics Choice nominee Anne-Marie on her solo single “Alarm“.

Following extremely closely behind is Rag’N’Bone Man’s “Human”, which jumpped from #5 last week to claim the #2 spot. “Human“, co-written with Reservoir/Reverb Music writer Jamie Hartman, topped charts in Germany for eleven consecutive weeks. Fueled by the success of “Human”, Rag’N’Bone Man was named the Brits’ Critics Choice Award winnerearlier this month.

The race to the Official Christmas Number 1 in the UK is a longstanding British tradition, dating back over 60 years, when Al Martino topped the festive chart with “Here In my Heart” in 1952. Past Christmas Chart toppers include The Beatles, The Spice Girls, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and Queen.
