RESERVOIR ANNOUNCES PUBLISHING DEAL WITH AWARD-WINNING SONGWRITER-PRODUCER LEROY CLAMPITT
Date:
Reservoir Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: RSVR) (“Reservoir” or the “Company”), an award-winning independent music company, today announced a new publishing deal with songwriter-producer Leroy Clampitt for his future works.
Clampitt has consistently garnered industry recognition for his impressive collaborations. His co-write “Company” by Justin Bieber landed him on Australasian Performing Right Association’s (APRA) prestigious “The 1,000,000,000 List,” an honor acknowledging songwriters who have accumulated over one billion streams globally for an original song. “Company,” a multi-Platinum selling song, was featured on Bieber’s 2015 album Purpose, which was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Clampitt followed his success on “Company” with several big collaborations, including producing “Genesis” by Dua Lipa off her Platinum-selling debut album Dua Lipa, which was nominated for British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards and contributed to Lipa’s win at the 2019 Grammy Awards for Best New Artist. Clampitt also produced and co-wrote the theme for Jennifer Lopez’s 2022 film Marry Me, entitled “On My Way (Marry Me),” which won Best Song at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Today, Clampitt is one of the most in-demand pop writer-producers. After the success of Ashe’s debut album Ashlyn (featuring Clampitt’s hit collaboration “Till Forever Falls Apart” with Finneas), he executive produced and co-wrote Ashe’s sophomore album Rae, released in October 2022. Women in Pop hailed the album as “undoubtedly one of the best albums of 2022.” Following Madison Beer’s debut album Life Support, which he executive produced and co-wrote, Clampitt worked on her latest three singles, “I Have Never Felt More Alive,” “Dangerous,” and “Showed Me.” He also collaborated on five tracks off Sabrina Carpenter’s emails i can’t send, which reached #23 on the Billboard Top 200, with Clampitt’s collaborations having amassed billions of streams to date. In addition to writing and producing with some of the biggest pop artists today, Clampitt works with an eclectic group of critically recognized artists such as Laufey, Madeline The Person, Broods, Lennon Stella, Adam Melchor, and Mallrat, and has cultivated an impressive network of fellow songwriters and producers, including Reservoir roster mate Ali Tamposi, which enables him to identify key opportunities to create alongside other hitmakers.
On signing with Reservoir, Clampitt said, “I’m incredibly inspired to be making music with the support of Donna Caseine, James Cheney, and everyone at Reservoir. It’s so wonderful to know my songs are in safe hands. It’s an honor to be welcomed into the family.”
Reservoir EVP, Global Creative Director Donna Caseine said, “I have such a deep admiration for Leroy’s ability to create music that is not only sonically interesting, but also commercially successful. His songs and production are exquisite.” She added, “As a Leroy fan, I’m ecstatic to be his publisher and look forward to working with Leroy and his manager Hannah Babitt to continue to build his network and create fantastic music together.”
