RESERVOIR AND ONE RIOT ANNOUNCE PUBLISHING DEAL WITH FEMALE TRIO TROUSDALE
Date:
Reservoir Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: RSVR), an award-winning independent music company, today announced a new deal through its joint venture with One Riot to publish Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones, who comprise the pop/folk singer-songwriter trio Trousdale. The deal includes the band’s catalog and future works.
Based in Los Angeles, Trousdale was founded by D’Andrea, Greene, and Jones during their time at the University of Southern California’s Popular Music program. The all-female band has earned acclaim for their heartfelt harmonies and messages of empowerment. Trousdale’s debut EP, Look Around, was released in April 2021, which featured hit songs “Better Off” and “Wouldn’t Come Back,” the latter of which boasts nearly 14 million streams on Spotify. Their sophomore EP, What Happiness Is, was released in November of the same year with Atwood Magazine praising it as “a collection that burns bright, showcasing the band’s wealth of talent and their limitless vision.” In 2022, Trousdale released their latest single “Do Re Mi,” which the band has been singing together since 2014.
Trousdale spent the last year touring across Europe and the U.S. and will continue to be on the road throughout 2023. The group kicked off their first headlining tour across the U.S. this month, with additional dates supporting Grammy-nominated guitarist and singer-songwriter Cory Wong. Trousdale is also currently working on their debut LP, which is expected to be released later in 2023.
On signing with One Riot/Reservoir, Trousdale said, “We are so thrilled to be working with this incredible team, especially one led by such powerful women. It’s truly a dream and an honor to have found partners who believe in our message and share the same passion for music and songwriting that we do.”
One Riot President Amy Patton also commented, “From the moment you hear Trousdale sing you know they are a special band. We are beyond excited to welcome them to the One Riot/Reservoir family, and we’re honored to play a part in the story of these rising stars.”
Reservoir Executive Vice President, Global Creative Director Donna Caseine added, “Georgia, Lauren and Quinn are such effective storytellers through their writing and performing. We are so happy to embark on this journey with them early in their careers and look forward to supporting them as they continue to evolve.”
