RELL LAFARGUE APPOINTED TO CANADIAN MUSIC PUBLISHING ASSOCIATION’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Date:
Reservoir President and Chief Operating Officer Rell Lafargue has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Music Publishing Association (CMPA), as announced in an official press release circulated by the Association last week. Lafargue’s appointment comes on the heels of his formal promotion to President at Reservoir, building on 10 years as the company’s COO.
As Reservoir’s President and COO, Rell oversees all aspects of the company’s day-to-day operations and has spearheaded Reservoir’s international and domestic expansion efforts, having overseen the acquisitions and integrations of the TVT Music Publishing catalog, UK publishers Reverb Music and P&P Songs, the historic R&B label Philly Groove Records, and the 26,000-song First State Media Group catalog, plus breaking ground on Reservoir’s first official Los Angeles office in 2017.
While based in New York, Rell has built an extensive network within the global music marketplaces. Now aligned with the CMPA, he hopes to put his multi-faceted perspective of each landscape to use for the benefit of the Canadian music publishing community.
