OFFSET DROPS ‘SET IT OFF’ AND ‘SET IT OFF (VERSIONS)’ ALBUMS
Date:
Offset dropped his latest album Set It Off on the heels of singles “Jealousy” with Cardi B earlier this summer, “Fan” released in September, and “Worth It” with Don Toliver one day ahead of the album release. Offset followed the release with a deluxe album Set It Off (Versions) a week later featuring sped-up and slowed-down versions of several tracks.
To date, Set It Off reached #2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums, and #5 on the Top 200, with two tracks charting on the Hot 100 and three charting on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Notably “Say My Grace” with Travis Scott broke the Top 10 on R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs, Rap Streaming Songs, and Hot Rap Songs., while “Worth It” with Don Toliver in the Top 10 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and Rap Digital Song Sales.
In a review of the album, Pitchfork noted, “On a technical level, Offset is in rare form. He’s a finesser who can strut, slide, and stutter-step across virtually any beat, a versatility that is foregrounded when he’s alone.” Additionally, Variety stated, “The best moments find this fiery artist at the absolute top of his game.”
