MILEY CYRUS RELEASES “MIDNIGHT SKY,” CO-WRITTEN BY ALI TAMPOSI

Miley Cyrus released her latest single “Midnight Sky,” co-written by Ali Tamposi, off of her upcoming album She Is Miley Cyrus. In its first week, “Midnight Sky” topped the Pop & Hot Adult Contemporary Radio add boards as the most added song and debuted at #34 on the Adult Pop Songs chart, #38 on the Pop Songs chart, and #62 on the Shazam Top 200 U.S. songs chart. Fans also picked the track as Billboard’s ‘Favorite New Music’ of the week.
Regarding the single, NME noted, “The lyrics to ‘Midnight Sky’ see Cyrus asserting control and independence, with the singer declaring “I was born to run, I don’t belong to anyone/ Oh no, I don’t need to be loved by you,” on the track’s rousing chorus.”
