MAJOR LAZER DROPS ‘PEACE IS THE MISSION’
Date:
Major Lazer’s album Peace Is The Mission was released today, featuring Reservoir artist MØ’s writing and vocals on track four, “Lean On” and 2 Chainz‘ signature swag on track eight, “Night Riders”. Both tracks showcase each artists’ ability to fall in step with a sound–in this case, Major Lazer’s distinct island-meets-EDM ambience–while still making the song their own.
Released in March as the album’s lead single, “Lean On” is already a hit, currently charting on Billboard at #4 on both the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Dance/Electronic Digital Songs with a whopping 100 million views on Youtube. “Night Riders”, with its trap-hits-the-club sensibility and all-star guest lineup–Travi$ Scott, Pusha T, and Mad Cobra hop on in addition to Chainz–is surely not far behind.
Peace Is The Mission also features MØ’s writing on track nine, “All My Love”, originally released as part of the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (Part 1) soundtrack.
