Loco Ironico, made up of longtime collaborators Joe Cang and Matteo Saggesse, have released their latest project Mambo Gumbo. The 12-track collection serves as a follow up to 2016’s Carpe Afternoon. Refusing to be labeled by genre, Loco Ironico notes that after another two years of being asked what type of music they make, they now liken their sound to musical gumbo. As with Carpe Afternoon, Mambo Gumbo was recorded live, and features tracks that take on unusual topics like GMO crops and elusive future physical fitness. The vivd rhythms featured throughout the album are paired with cheerful melodies, that are sure to ‘Put a little wiggle in the way you walk, You do the mambo gumbo’!
