The British-Cambodian soul pop powerhouse returns with her most prolific single to date, the electric, r&b tinged FALLIN which is the first in the run of new music for 2018, with the new track featuring a stellar line up of names including writer credits from Paul Phamous – the name responsible for co-writing Lost with Frank Ocean – and produced by Aftehrs – Maroon 5, One Direction, Liam Payne and Sabrina Claudio.
Following up an impressive 18 months which has seen the singer / songwriter touring with Jonas Blue, as his guest vocalist for shows including MTV Malta, V Festival, Capital Ball and the VEVO Halloween party, ‘FALLIN’ is the follow up to previous single ‘DON’T CALL ME BABY’ which amassed over 1 million streams and nods from tastemaker publications such as Wonderland, Notion Magazine, Noctis Magazine and Crack in The Road.
Fast forward to 2018 and Liza has racked up 5 million streams on Spotify, extended her catalogue with collaborations on releases with DJ Cedric Gervais and Norwegian breakthrough act SJUR, and is now currently residing between London and LA, and working with elite writers across both camps, and counts hit-maker Ali Tamposi – who co-wrote Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Stronger’, and DJ Snake’s ‘Let Me Love You’- as both her mentor and publisher. A firm favourite within the fashion and style world; Liza can count being a former Net-A-Porter ambassador as well as working with brands Adidas, Mary Katranzou, Henry Holland, Puma, ASOS, Revolve and Nasty Gal.
Liza’s cool and collected style of crossover pop is delivered with a fierce and unapologetic abandon which has seen her work with top tier names including Robopop (Lana Del Ray, Maroon 5, Nick Jonas) Danny Parker (Jessie Ware, Shawn Mendes, Birdy) and John Ryan (Harry Styles, Maroon 5, John Legend),.
Finessing her own unique sound that effortlessly bridges the cool versus pop divide, 2018 promises to be a big year for Liza Owen.
