Biography

Grammy nominated Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist Bounty Killer was known for his violent material consisting of condemnations of corrupt authority, tributes to his mother, and a DJ rivalry with Beanie Man. He began his DJ career at the age of nine with his father’s small sound system. He began performing under the name Bounty Killer and hung around Lloyd James, aka King Jammy. He eventually met Uncle T, King Jammy’s brother, who was willing to produce Bounty Killer’s first recordings in 1990.
