KHRIS RIDDICK-TYNES HONORED AS 2023 VARIETY HITMAKER

Khris Riddick-Tynes was honored as a 2023 Variety Hitmaker for his work on SZA’s “Snooze.” Co-written/co-produced by Riddick-Tynes, “Snooze” appeared on SZA’s record breaking album SOS, which held the top spot on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums for 47 weeks straight. “Snooze” itself topped the Hot R&B Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts, while also reaching #2 on the Hot 100.
According to Variety, Riddick-Tynes recalls, “I did the drums on the flight, and the next day, with the collaborative efforts of Leon, BLK, and Babyface, we brought the track over the finish line — the song flowed out of her in 20 minutes. It was pure magic.”
