Following the release date announcement of upcoming sophomore studio album, All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, Joey Bada$$ drops the music video for his new single, “Land of the Free. The politically charged video, co-directed by Joey and Nathan R. Smith, was described as the Brooklyn rapper’s address on the current state of the world from his point of view, and confronts issues like police brutality and racism. Complex Magazine declared “it’s a powerful message Joey is sending through this visual, and shows his growth as an individual,” while Billboard noted that the video “demands repeated viewings in order to process the imagery and symbolism”.

AABA, due out April 7, also features Joey’s 2016 Gold certified hit, “Devastated”.
