Lewis Capaldi released his highly-anticipated second album Broken by Desire to be Heavenly Sent, which features Jamie Hartman co-write “Heavenly Kind of State of Mind.”

As reported by UK Official Charts, Capaldi’s album has surpassed Ed Sheeran’s 2023 release to claim the title of fastest-selling album of the year so far, with NME noting the album is actually outselling the other Top 20 albums combined. Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent has already had three singles reach #1 on the Official UK charts ahead of its release, and the album is expected to debut at #1.

Notably, The Line of Best Fit described the album as “a triumphant return from Capaldi,” calling “Heavenly Kind of State of Mind” one of its best tracks as it “encourages listeners to put down the tissues and stand up for a boogie.” Prior to release, Capaldi also debuted the track with an NPR Tiny Desk performance.
