Reservoir Founder & CEO Golnar Khosrowshahi joined Hans Zimmer at the keynote event for The Wall Street Journal‘s Tech Live conference to discuss artificial intelligence’s impact on music. Zimmer shared many stories about his own creative process and Khosrowshahi chimed in to explain how AI technology cannot replace an innovative composer like Zimmer. As she said, “AI in particular is trained on material from the past. Hans is not…He is looking to create something new. The technology can’t really innovate a new instrument, a new sound, and create that collaboration, because it’s only human imagination that has that vision.”
