Date:
Team England announced the official anthem of the Commonwealth Games is a custom version of the hymn “Jerusalem” arranged by Reservoir’s Craigie Dodds and Britain’s Got Talent Tokio Meyers featuring vocals by The Voice’s Jazmin Sawyers. The re-vamped song is accompanied by a 54-piece orchestra and a 10-piece choir in the recently released visual starring Sawyers, who is also a Commonwealth long jump silver medalist, as the lead vocalist. Dodds makes a brief appearance in the visual, sitting behind the soundboard at the start of the video. The new arrangement of the song has a modern twist with heavy-hitting beats and strong synth as compared to the original 1916 classical piece.
