DUA LIPA DROPS NEW SINGLE “BREAK MY HEART” CO-WRITTEN BY ALI TAMPOSI OFF NEW ALBUM ‘FUTURE NOSTALGIA’
Date:
Dua Lipa released her new single “Break My Heart,” today, co-written by Ali Tamposi. The punchy disco-influenced track has the singer bracing for imminent heartbreak that could have been avoided had she just “stayed at home.” MTV notes “Dua Lipa continues her disco-pop hot streak with new song ‘Break My Heart’” that “lands Dua back in that retro-futuristic, disco-pop territory that’s been elevating her sound as of late.” The bop is the fourth single off her new album Future Nostalgia, which Pitchfork calls a “collection of sophisticated, hard-bodied pop-funk that gives way to slick, Kylie Minogue-inspired disco.” The music video for “Break My Heart” also dropped, featuring a barrage of slick dance moves complimenting the catchy cut.
“Breaks My Heart” follows Tamposi’s hit collaborations with Ozzy Osbourne on his latest album Ordinary Man, as well as collabs with 5 Seconds of Summer on singles “Old Me” and “No Shame,” among others.
