CLEAN CUT KID RELEASES SOPHOMORE ALBUM ‘PAINWAVE’
Date:
Liverpool-based indie-rock band Clean Cut Kid dropped their second studio album Painwave, today. Of the album, Reservoir’s Mike Halls, who is the primary songwriter, singer, and producer of the band, revealed Painwave is “the sum of everything we’ve experienced as people, produced with the sum of everything we’ve learned as musicians, An unpolished, uninterrupted tape-saturated 1970s journey through human vulnerability.”
Born Music calls the work a “mighty 15-track catalogue of indie bangers,” while Popped Music notes, “it’s a fuzzy anthemic sound that refuses to be contained by the limits of its makeshift studio and is set to take live venues and festivals by storm in the coming months.”
Painwave follows up singles “I Don’t Like You but I Love You” and “Deafening,” along with their 2017 debut album Felt.
