CARDI B & BRUNO MARS DROP NEW SINGLE ‘PLEASE ME’, CO-WRITTEN BY JAMES FAUNTLEROY
Cardi B and Bruno Mars released their collaborative single “Please Me” co-written by James Fauntleroy, today via Atlantic Records. The sultry track features smooth vocals, sensual lyrics, and groovy R&B elements.
Rolling Stone notes “the silky, flirty song features Mars emotively pleading for some loving, while Cardi B talks about getting down on the dancefloor before taking it to another level.” As Bruno begs for his lover, he sings “Please me, baby/turn around and just tease me, baby/You’ve got what I want and what I need, baby/please”.
This is the second collaboration for the pair, who teamed up together on the remix for Mars’ “Finesse,” also co-written by Fauntleroy. Meanwhile, Fauntleroy scored another Grammy last week, as The Carters’ Everything Is Love, on which he contributed to the song “Summer,” won Best Contemporary Album.
