Veteran songwriter and artist Bruce Roberts was among a star-studded lineup of supporters at an event supporting U.S. president Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act, according to in-the-know industry magazine, The Hollywood Reporter. Roberts serves on the board of the Entertainment Advisory Council, whose team organized the event.

Other musical guests included Bon Jovi, former American Idol finalist-turned-actress Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Jason Derulo. A highlight of the event was Derulo’s account of how adequate health coverage save his life after a rehearsal injury.
