BILLY STRAYHORN TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE ISJAC HALL OF FAME

The International Society of Jazz Arrangers and Composers (ISJAC) announced Billy Strayhorn has been named one of the 2021 inductees to ISJAC’s Jazz Composers/Arrangers Hall of Fame today. According to the ISJAC, Strayhorn’s induction was chosen for his “collaborating seamlessly with Duke Ellington for almost 3 decades, his work is not only evidence of a master arranger but a composer of numerous jazz classics and forward-looking compositions.”
The Hall of Fame induction award ceremony will be virtually on Thursday, March 18th at 8pm.
