BEYONCE DROPS ‘HOMECOMING: THE LIVE ALBUM’ FEATURING RESERVOIR CATALOG CUTS
Date:
R&B powerhouse Beyoncé debuted her new album HOMECOMING: THE LIVE ALBUM, featuring Reservoir cuts “Shining” and “Baby Boy,” today via Columbia Records. The surprise album was created from the live audio of her iconic Coachella headlining set in 2018 and is accompanied by a live concert film, which premiered the same day via Netflix.
Reservoir’s Danja collaborated with hitmaker DJ Khaled on his 2017 single “Shining,” featuring Beyoncé and Jay Z, which was featured as the lead sing off his tenth studio album Grateful. The RIAA Platinum certified hit track notably claimed the number one spot on Billboard’s Rhythmic chart.
Catalog cut “Baby Boy,” featuring Sean Paul, is the second single off Beyoncé’s 2003 debut solo album Dangerously in Love. The track dominated the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #1 for nine consecutive weeks, along with reaching the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Mainstream Top 40, and Rhythmic charts, among others.
The album also features a collaboration by Reservoir roster mates Just Blaze and Carla Marie Williams on track “Freedom,” featuring Kendrick Lamar, off her previously released album Lemonade.
