AVRIL LAVIGNE RELEASES NEW ALBUM ‘HEAD ABOVE WATER’, FEATURING FOUR LAUREN CHRISTY COLLABORATIONS
Date:
Canadian pop-star Avril Lavigne dropped her highly anticipated sixth studio album, Head Above Water, today, featuring four collaborations with Reservoir writer-producer Lauren Christy. Tracks “Souvenir,” “Bigger Wow,” and “Love Me Insane,” were both co-written and co-produced by Christy and she also co-wrote the self-discovery ballad “It Was In Me”.
Rolling Stone notes Lavigne is “guardedly optimistic about a new love in ‘Souvenir’ and appropriately giddy on ‘Bigger Wow,’ which seems destined to be a summer jam,” while Idolator praised “Love Me Insane” for its “inescapable, sing-along chorus” and “romantic vibes.”
Christy famously teamed up with Lavigne on her debut album, Let Go, co-writing and co-producing much of the record including breakout hits “Complicated” and “Sk8rboi.”
