Black Grapefruit released their new single “0122,” today. The vibrant track blends alternative and electronic production with nostalgia-induced lyrics. The National Student praises the song: “despite feeling intimate and sparse, the track is expansive in the anthemic chorus which feels occasioned to late night driving with the windows down. The hazy soundscape is familiar yet refreshing, making Black Grapefruit definite players in anti-pop experimentation.”

Upon its release, the single was added to Spotify’s “New Music Friday” playlist, which has over three million followers.

“0122” follows the duo’s return to the indie-pop scene with, “Crypt Keeper.” Both tracks will be featured on Black Grapefruit’s third studio album Fade/Forget, due out June 28.
