Singer-songwriter Monica Martin released new single “Patient” co-written by Jamie Hartman, today via Republic Records.

Foundations Music notes that the mellow alternative track is a “song about vulnerability and strength”, featuring lyrics that “dive into the “space between” of loving someone but needing to find the love in yourself first”. Martin further explains “Patient” is a “song asking for space” as “we all are on respective journeys to unpack mental baggage and needing to create that space while in a relationship can be really tough…especially when someone wants to feel needed, you can be perpetually soothed, and while that feels great and all, that limits you from forging healthy mental pathways for yourself.”

“Patient” follows up Hartman’s recent collaboration with Junge Junge on new single “Wicked Hearts”, Calvin Harris & Rag’n’Bone Man’s smash collab “Giant”, and Backstreet Boys’ hit single “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” off their #1 Billboard 200 album DNA.
