Boyband sensation the Backstreet Boys released their highly anticipated tenth studio album DNA today, via RCA Records. The album, which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, features single “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, co-written and co-produced by Jamie Hartman, and marks Reservoir’s 4th #1 album on the Billboard 200 of 2019.
The album showcases the evolution of the pop boy band, featuring a blend of R&B, country, and funk beats, as well as their signature powerful voices and perfect harmonies. Billboard exclaims that “as evidenced with the album’s lead single, the pounding “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” DNA “stays true to BSB’s harmony-driven pop sound while evolving their production to fit today’s radio landscape.”
“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the upcoming 2019 Grammy Awards.
Hartman has had recent success with other collaborations, including Calvin Harris & Rag’n’Bone Man’s smash hit single “Giant” and Junge Junge’s “Wicked Hearts”.
