T.I. DROPS NEW ALBUM ‘DIME TRAP’ FEAT. YOUNG THUG, WATCHTHEDUCK, & JUST BLAZE COLLABORATIONS
Date:
Atlanta rapper T.I. dropped his tenth studio album Dime Trap featuring collaborations with Reservoir’s Young Thug, WatchTheDuck, and Just Blaze, today. Young Thug teamed up with T.I. on chill single “The Weekend,” which The 405 calls a “shockingly great jam” that features “Young Thug’s best guest turn in recent memory”. Alabama artist-production duo WatchTheDuck collaborated on the smooth track “Big Ol Drip,” of which Vibe notes WtD “playfully blend soulful vocals with genre-bending beats like their recent single ‘There You Are’… “lend[ing] their vocal magic to the track’s chorus”. And Just Blaze lent his production talents to “Laugh At Em,” which XXL describes as “one of T.I.’s most inspired performances since the King era. Backed by a bombastic, glorious Just Blaze beat, Tip spazzes for more than three minutes with no hook, only briefly pausing between verses to laugh and clown his competition”.
Young Thug, WatchTheDuck, and Just Blaze have had an action-packed year to date. In September, Young Thug dropped his latest EP On the RVN, while WatchTheDuck released their debut album Delayed Adulthood and Just Blaze collaborated with Eminem on the Billboard 200 #1 album Revival earlier this year.
