Reservoir/Reverb Music announces the signing of urban and pop songwriter-producer Peter Elegbede, pka CallMeTheKidd. The deal includes titles from CallMeTheKidd’s catalog of songs, plus future works.

“I’m so excited to be a part of Peter’s journey and continued success in music. He’s an amazing talent, with a remarkable temperament and I’m confident that we will achieve some incredible things together with the Reservoir team,” says Reservoir/Reverb Music A&R Benjamin Akpojaro, who signed Elegbede to the roster and will oversee day to day Creative for the rising talent in London, with additional support from Reservoir’s Creative teams in New York and Los Angeles.

In only a few short years, CallMeTheKidd has steadily accumulated a robust list of credits to his name. He spent the first few years of his career producing his own music and developing his sound as an artist. Last year, the North London-born-and-based rapper and singer released his EP, The Becoming, which features an eclectic range of sounds including “Leaders,” a powerful production with high magnitude musical elements, “Hold Up,” a playful track that masterfully blends hip-hop and R&B, and “The Becoming,” the title track, which emits old school hip-hop vibes. More recently, CallMeTheKidd turned his focus to writing and producing for others. His new collaborations, the firey One Acen single “Verified” and the Hardy Caprio x Tion Wayne collaborative single “Cmon”, were both hand-picked by Spotify for their New Music Friday playlist. In addition, CallMeTheKidd, also produced Hardy Caprio’s “Super Soaker” which earned the top spot on Apple Music’s UK Rap playlist and has racked up millions of streams worldwide.
