Young Thug’s Super Slimey Hits
Date:
Throughout the years, Reservoir rapper Young Thug has cemented himself as one of music’s top mavericks. With a bevy of smash singles and new album So Much Fun under his belt, this past year has only served to launch Thugger further into superstardom. In celebration of his 28th birthday, we’re taking a look at some of Young Thug’s biggest hits.
So Much Fun
Young Thug’s debut album, released on the rapper’s birthday, is nothing short of a celebration. The 19-track release includes his star-studded hit single “The London” with J. Cole and Travis Scott, which earned Thugger a Billboard Hot 100 Top 20 single at #12. Regarding the album, DJ Booth notes “[So Much Fun] moves at a pace only Thug could set, a rhythm that captures the uniqueness of his eccentric style without any overwhelming elements. Each of the 19 songs borrows a play from his celebrated book of tricks—it’s not overly experimental or enchanted—executed in a fashion that grabs the audience’s ears,” further describing the project “As a body of work, the music lives up to its title. There isn’t a single moment where Thug is dull, bored, or sounds out of place… Young Thug has delivered a debut worth the wait.”
