BEN’S BROTHER RELEASE NEW ‘HONEYBEE’ SINGLE AND VIDEO
Date:
After a nearly ten-year hiatus, Brit-pop-rock five-piece Ben’s Brother are back with their new single, “Honeybee”. Ben’s Brother frontman and Reservoir writer Jamie Hartman is leading the project’s return, and debuted a “Honeybee” music video, featuring a rhythmic dancer grooving to the tune on stages and rooftops. The video was added to Youtube’s New Music Playlist upon release.
In a recent interview alongside Reservoir/Reverb Music Managing Director Annette Barrett, who signed him to Reverb Music in 2002, Hartman revealed that “Honeybee” was deemedthe perfect track to re-introduce Ben’s Brother to to the market because of the “overall soul in it. It feels more positive than some of the previous records. A return to my Sam Cooke and Otis Redding musical influences, rather than the U.K. indie rock influences of Radiohead and other bands.” Barrett agrees, adding “It’s perhaps not classic Ben’s Brother in that it’s more upbeat; however, it’s still very distinctive and melodic. I think it brings Ben’s Brother into 2016.”
A Ben’s Brother UK tour is in the works for February 2017, with a full album expected to drop next Summer. “Honeybee” is available for download on iTunes now. Check out the music video below:
