2 CHAINZ IN SEASON FINALE OF ‘SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’
Date:
2 Chainz starred in the finale episode of season 39 of Saturday Night Live, in a skit where the Reservoir artist brings “The Blizzard Man” (played by SNL veteran Andy Samberg) into the studio to finish up a hook for a new record he is working on. The result is hilarious, to say the least. Blizzard Man makes disconnected references to Rick Ross’ latest collaboration with Jay Z, “The Devil Is A Lie,” Drake’s “Worst Behavior,” as well as Lil Wayne’s 1999 debut, Tha Block Is Hot.
This isn’t the first time 2 Chainz appears on SNL; the rapper performed his gold single, “Birthday Song,” alongside Jamie Foxx on the show in 2012. Chainz has a number of other television appearances under his belt, including guest star roles on an episode of Law & Order and 2 Broke Girls.
The SNL appearance comes soon after 2 Chainz’ latest release, an EP titled Freebase, which features seven songs and guest spots from contemporary rap royalty like A$AP Rocky and Rick Ross. The EP is free to download, and is expected to keep fans buzzing until his next full-length album release.
