RACHEL CHINOURIRI EARNS DOUBLE NOMINATIONS FOR ROLLING STONE UK AWARDS 2024
Date:
Today, Rolling Stone UK announced the nominees for the Rolling Stone UK Awards 2024, with Rachel Chinouriri securing nominations for both the Artist Award and the Breakthrough Award. Chinouriri was previously nominated for the Rolling Stone UK Awards 2023 Rising Star Award.
Chinouriri has had a breakout year with her debut album, What A Devastating Turn Of Events, released earlier this year. Featuring collaborations by roster mates Leroy Clampitt and Jonah Summerfield, the album was praised widely and debuted at #17 on the Official UK Charts and #9 on the Spotify Top Debut Albums Chart.
Chinouriri spoke to Rolling Stone UK last month on her latest powerful single with Cat Burns, “Even,” which examines barriers non-white people have to go through in the music industry. Earlier in March, Chinouriri was also featured on Rolling Stone UK’s 2024 Future of Music.
This month, Chinouriri kicked off her UK Tour ‘Rachel Chinouriri: The Ultimate Darling Experience’ in support of What A Devastating Turn Of Events. This past July, Chinouriri performed at the Glastonbury Festival where her set was named one of the top moments of the fest by BBC, and she also opened for the UK and European legs of the ‘Short n’ Sweet’ Tour by Sabrina Carpenter.
The Rolling Stone UK Awards ceremony will take place on November 28, 2024. See the full list of nominees here.
