The 2021 MTV Video Music Award nominations were announced today, with Reservoir cuts earning 7 nominations. Reservoir proudly congratulates our songwriters whose work contributed to the MTV Video Music Award-nominated music. The nominations are as follows:
Best Collaboration
“Prisoner” by Miley Cyrus feat. Dua Lipa, co-written by Ali Tamposi
Best Pop
“Positions” by Ariana Grande, co-written/co-produced by Mr. Franks
“Butter” by BTS, co-written by Rufio Hooks
Best Hip-Hop
“Franchise” by Travis Scott feat. catalog artist Young Thug & M.I.A.
Best R&B
“Go Crazy” by Chris Brown & Young Thug
Best K-Pop
“Ice Cream” by BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez, co-written/co-produced by Mr. Franks
“Butter” by BTS, co-written by Rufio Hooks
“Butter” and “Prisoner” are also nominated in the ‘Best Editing’ category, with “Buter” and “34+35” by Ariana Grande, co-written/co-produced by Mr. Franks, nominated for ‘Best Choreography.’ “Franchise” is also nominated for ‘Best Direction.’
