RACHEL CHINOURIRI EARNS NOMINATION FOR 2021 IVOR NOVELLO RISING STAR AWARD
Date:
Today, the Ivors announced Rachel Chinouriri has earned a nomination for the 2021 Ivor Novello Rising Star Award with Apple Music.
Earlier this year Chinouriri released her debut EP Four° in Winter, which has over 2.5 million streams and which the Ivors calls “the sound that launched a million syncs.” Just this month, she teamed up with Hak Baker for their new single “November,” with OutNow Magazine praising Chinouriri as she continues “to showcase her ability to melt various genres together,” and adding “Rachel’s emotive lyrics are forefront, perfectly capturing the intense memories and dreamlike nature of the song.”
Previously, Chinouriri’s song “The Riverbend,” which she performs with Subculture, was featured in the critically acclaimed TV show I May Destroy You, and her 2018 single “So My Darling” has amassed over 1 million streams on Spotify.
This nomination marks Chinouriri’s first Ivors nod. The winners will be announced in a ceremony on September 21, 2021. To view the full list of nominees, visit the Ivors’ website.
