5 SECONDS OF SUMMER DROP NEW SINGLE ‘TEETH’ CO-WRITTEN BY ALI TAMPOSI
Date:
Australian pop band 5 Seconds of Summer released their new single “Teeth,” co-written by Ali Tamposi, today. Rolling Stone notes the dark industrial pop-inspired single “details a toxic relationship.” Lead singer Luke Hemmings further elaborated “It was a tumultuous time in my life and the lyrics in the song definitely reflect that. It speaks lyrically about a trying time in my current relationship. Musically it’s another step forward from ‘Easier’ and really embraces industrial sounds and rhythms.” The cut notably features Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello on guitar. “Teeth” will also a part of the upcoming 13 Reasons Why Season 3 Soundtrack, due out this Friday. The music video for the single also dropped, featuring the band collectiving delving into an escape room-tinged nightmare.
“Teeth” follows hit singles “Easier” and the 7x ARIA Platinum-certifed smash “Youngblood,” both co-written by Ali Tamposi.
